Coffee truck surprise on set of new drama 'Whale Star'... Star shares gratitude on social media

Actor Heo Nam-joon warmed hearts by expressing his appreciation for singer-actress IU's thoughtful gesture.

Heo took to his personal social media on the 21st, posting, "Sending belated thanks. I'm truly grateful for the treat," alongside a photo.

The image captured a coffee truck that arrived on the set of tvN's upcoming drama 'Whale Star.' The truck's banner, reading "Cheering on the Whale Star team and actor Heo Nam-joon! From IU," caught everyone's attention.

Heo tagged IU's account, writing, "Thank you, sunbae!! Wishing you good health always." Known for being a fan of IU, his heartfelt response to her support added a touching note to the exchange.

The pair's connection stems from IU's music. Heo starred in the music video for "Never Ending Story," the title track from IU's remake album 'Flower Bookmark 3,' released last May.

Their paths crossed again when Heo made a cameo as Kim Yeon-jun, a potential suitor for IU's character Sung Hee-joo, in the MBC drama '21st Century Lady' this past April. The duo reunited once more in July for IU's latest music video, further cementing their bond.

In a previous magazine interview, Heo openly expressed his admiration for IU. Recalling their first encounter, he shared, "Just knowing that IU was aware of my existence made me feel like I'd made it." He added, "My hands were shaking when I greeted her. It was like a dream come true and the highlight of my career," creating buzz among fans.

Currently, Heo Nam-joon is fresh off his role in the drama 'Wonderful New World' and is now fully immersed in filming the new tvN series 'Whale Star.'
