G-Dragon's Positive Impact

BIGBANG leader and solo artist G-Dragon (Kwon Ji-yong) has demonstrated his commitment to social causes, showcasing the power of celebrity influence.

On the 25th, Galaxy Corporation and the Juspeace Foundation revealed that they had invited descendants of Korean independence activists and Korean War veterans, along with dedicated correctional officers, to BIGBANG's 20th Anniversary World Tour concert in Seoul.

This initiative is part of the Juspeace Foundation's "Hero Recovery" project. G-Dragon, the foundation's honorary chairman, personally funded the invitations by purchasing concert tickets. This gesture follows his previous efforts during his solo world tour, where he invited public servants like firefighters and police officers. This time, he expanded the guest list to include veterans' descendants and correctional officers.

Juspeace Foundation CEO Oh Hee-young stated, "Our everyday lives are built on countless unseen sacrifices and efforts. We believe that art and culture can offer comfort and strength to those who need it most. We'll continue to recognize those working behind the scenes to protect our communities and express our gratitude through artistic endeavors."

The concert, which kicked off amidst these meaningful gestures, was a testament to BIGBANG's two-decade legacy. From the 21st to the 23rd, the group launched their 20th Anniversary World Tour 'XX: COSMOS' at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium with a spectacular show.

On stage, BIGBANG shared heartfelt words with their fans: "Nothing is more beautiful than the journey we've shared over these 20 years. You, our fans, are BIGBANG. Your presence is what truly moves us." Following their successful Seoul concerts, BIGBANG is set to embark on a massive world tour, with 33 shows planned across 19 cities in North America, Europe, Oceania, and Asia.

In 2024, G-Dragon established the Juspeace Foundation, a non-profit organization, by donating his copyrights. The foundation's name, "Juspeace," combines "Justice" and "Peace." It actively promotes various social causes, including drug prevention, support for marginalized communities, and protection of artists' rights.
