BTS Achieves 10th Gold Certification in France: How ’SWIM’ Made History
BTS Hits 15 Million Streams Milestone, Securing 10th Gold Certification in France

BTS continues to make waves in the French music scene. Their title track "SWIM" from the fifth studio album "Arirang" has struck gold in the French singles category.
The French National Syndicate of Phonographic Publishing (SNEP) announced on August 25 that "SWIM" achieved Gold certification as of August 20. This prestigious recognition is awarded when a track amasses the equivalent of 15 million streams, factoring in streaming, downloads, and physical album sales.
This latest accolade brings BTS's tally of Gold-certified singles in France to an impressive ten, joining the ranks of their chart-toppers like "Dynamite," "Butter," "Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey)," and "FAKE LOVE." What's particularly noteworthy is that "SWIM" clinched this milestone just five months after its release.
The album "Arirang" has been equally successful. It snagged Gold certification a mere six days post-release and quickly escalated to Platinum status in April, surpassing 100,000 copies sold within about a month. This rapid ascent outpaces their previous albums "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7" and "Proof," which took approximately 14 months to achieve the same certification.
BTS's dominance extends to the Billboard charts as well. In the latest rankings announced on August 25, "Arirang" secured the 24th spot on the Billboard 200 for the week of August 29. The album, which debuted at No. 1 on April 4 and held the top position for three consecutive weeks, has maintained its chart presence for five months straight. Meanwhile, "SWIM" continues its impressive run, ranking fifth on the Global Excl. U.S. chart for its 22nd consecutive week in the Top 5, while also claiming the 14th spot on the Global 200 chart.
