Summer Break Brings 'Campus Blind Date' Season 2: Kai and Lee Changsub Reunite as Hosts

EXO's Kai and BTOB's Lee Changsub are set to play matchmaker for college students once again.

OOTB, a multi-platform content production company, announced the release of 'Campus Blind Date' Season 2 on the 23rd. This summer spin-off stems from their hit show 'Major Swap: The Guy Who Changes Majors Daily.'

'Campus Blind Date' offers a glimpse into the authentic dating scene of college students. The first season, which aired last winter, captured the organic connections forming between students from various majors through games and conversations. It was a massive hit, averaging 1.78 million views per episode.

Riding the wave of Season 1's success, Season 2 has already generated significant buzz. The casting call reportedly attracted around 600 applicants, indicating fierce competition. This season sees the return of Kai, the current host of 'Major Swap,' alongside former host Lee Changsub, promising enhanced chemistry and witty banter.

The duo kicks off the premiere with an audacious pledge. "We've been waiting for this moment," they declare. "If any couple formed through this show ties the knot within a year, we'll perform at their wedding. And if they have a baby, we'll even offer babysitting services!"

The season opener spotlights lifelong singles. Six participants, each with unique backstories ranging from zero dating experience to unrequited long-term crushes, will venture into their first blind dates.

Expect to see an eclectic mix of personalities, including the 'Roy Kim of Yonsei University' and a 'Gong Yoo doppelganger.' One 27-year-old participant, a lifelong single, shares a heartfelt aspiration: "If I find a partner here, I'm ready for marriage."

Season 2 introduces fresh twists to spice things up. New elements include whisper challenges to preferred matches, mid-show text voting for crushes, and pop quizzes offering instant date opportunities. The stakes are higher with daring tasks like one-minute hand-holding and real-time reveal of first impression votes, promising to deliver an extra dose of excitement.
