TVXQ's Yunho Unveils His Home of 14 Years and Unwavering 'Passion Man' Lifestyle

TVXQ's Yunho revealed his rigorous self-care routine and opened up about his challenging trainee days on a recent episode of a popular Korean variety show.

The MBC reality program 'I Live Alone' aired on the 18th, giving viewers an intimate look into Yunho's home and daily life.

Yunho's residence, which he has called home for 14 years, bore the marks of time. The space was filled with lived-in charm, featuring cherry-colored moldings, yellow linoleum flooring, an ornate chandelier, a local bank's wall clock, a first-generation rice cooker, and well-worn door handles. Comedian Yoo Byung-jae quipped, "Yunho must be the youngest thing in this house."

Before delving into Yunho's daily routine, his manager highlighted the star's exceptional dedication. "Many know him as 'Passion Man,' and he truly embodies that moniker," the manager explained. "He's maintained this unwavering commitment for nearly 30 years, from his trainee days to now. It's truly beyond imagination when you witness it firsthand."

True to his manager's words, Yunho's day kicks off with a flurry of activity. He starts by making his bed, changing into workout gear, and heading out for a fasted cardio run. Yunho revealed he's maintained this routine without fail for an entire year.

"I try to consistently do at least one small thing each year," Yunho shared. "I've never skipped a day. Rain or shine, snow or sleet, I'm out there running with an umbrella. Even after all-night shoots, I stick to it." His dedication left the show's cast in awe.

Post-workout, Yunho showers and preps for breakfast. Despite an array of home-cooked side dishes prepared by his mother, he opts for a protein shake. "When you're this focused on fitness, it feels wasteful to undo all that hard work," he explained, offering insight into his strict self-discipline.

Yunho's frugal habits also caught viewers' attention. He's maintained the practice of saving coins in a piggy bank since his trainee days. His manager elaborated, "He started this during his tough early years and continues it to stay grounded and remember his roots."

The TVXQ member also opened up about his struggles as a trainee. "Coming from the countryside, transportation costs ate up most of my budget," Yunho recalled. "Without a place to stay in Seoul, I sometimes slept near Seoul Station or in parks. Early on, I'd crash at jjimjilbangs (Korean saunas) and picked up part-time jobs." His candid account struck a chord with viewers.

Yunho's daily routine also includes reading, responding to fan letters, and maintaining a "passion journal," further cementing his image as a dedicated and disciplined artist.
