UAA Contract Ends, Interest in Future Plans Grows, Rumors of Comeback in Director Jang Jae Hyun’s New Film ‘Vampire’

(MHN Reporter Yoon Woo-gyu) The entertainment industry is focusing its attention on actor Yoo Ah In’s future plans.
On the 30th, TV Daily reported that Galaxy Corporation has offered Yoo Ah In a contract worth at least 50 billion KRW (approximately 37.5 million USD). According to the report, Galaxy Corporation proposed a contract that includes both cash and stock options.
Galaxy Corporation is a company that represents G-Dragon, Taemin, Kim Jong Kook, Song Kang Ho, Lee Jong Hoo, and others. With recent rumors of Ryu Jun Yeol potentially joining Galaxy Corporation, the industry’s attention is now focused on Yoo Ah In’s possible big-money contract.
Yoo Ah In recently ended his exclusive contract with his agency UAA. According to JTBC, it is known that Yoo Ah In maintains a personal relationship with UAA despite the termination of their exclusive contract.
Yoo Ah In suspended his entertainment activities in 2023 after allegations of drug use surfaced. He was tried for violating the Narcotics Control Act and other charges, and in July last year, the Supreme Court finalized a sentence of 1 year in prison suspended for 2 years, and a fine of 2 million KRW (approximately 1,500 USD).
Recently, rumors of Yoo Ah In’s comeback resurfaced when news broke that he was considering a role in director Jang Jae Hyun’s new film ‘Vampire.’ At the time, UAA stated, “No decision has been made regarding his appearance in ‘Vampire.'”
With the end of his contract with UAA and the possibility of an exclusive contract with Galaxy Corporation being raised, interest is growing in Yoo Ah In’s next move.
